With the England v Australia ODI series fast approaching, this week’s Caught On Camera focuses on some of the strange incidents that have turned these fierce rivals into laughing wrecks.
Runner Chaos
From Michael Clarke’s incredulity to Bret Lee’s amusement, this clip highlights why the ICC might have scrapped the use of a runner for injured batsmen. Confusion reigns as both batsmen appear to be stranded at the same end, before the fielders realise that the runner has made his ground further down the square.
Don’t Try This At Home…
Mal Loye’s brief foray into the England side was a memorable one, but we’re unsure whether he remembers this incident or not. He literally takes this one on the chin after attempting to slog sweep the king of Australian seamers. Sometimes it’s not a good idea to kneel before royalty.
Watto Flies Off The Handle
Shane Watson plays a cracking drive through the covers (pardon the pun), but it comes at a price: his bat. They say that Tim Bresnan bowls a heavy ball, but that ball must have been made of lead to dismember the bat like that.
