This month in the world’s number one cricket magazine we’ve busted out the bunting to celebrate England’s rise to the top of the Test tree.
The margin of England’s victory even took us by surprise, but – with the aid of plenty of strong coffee and a flagrant disregard for employment law – we’ve assembled a sparkling special issue to reflect on what is an amazing time for English cricket.
In a bumper 22-page feature, we look back on a decade of ups and downs, marvel at the current state of affairs, and offer our opinion on how this team can get even better. We even reckon that with a few tweaks here and there we can reach the top of the one-day game before too long.
On top of this, we’ve got exclusive interviews with two of England’s most impressive performers – Jonathan Trott and Tim Bresnan.
Elsewhere, we reveal YOUR thoughts on the state of our game in our annual AOC Cricket Report. Thousands of you responded to our survey, and the findings make for interesting, and often surprising, reading. Your favourite players, your ongoing gripes and what you would do if you were king – it’s all there.
If that weren’t enough we also found time to photocopy Jimmy Anderson’s diary, take Phil Tufnell for a drink, delve into Farokh Engineer’s barely believable contacts book and put another pile of top gear to the Test.
What else would you expect from the best cricket mag on the planet?
